Do you offer gift wrap? TOP

Most of our smaller items come gift ready in beautiful clear cellophane bags with our store logo sticker. However, if you would like something custom wrapped, please notify us via email or phone and we will be happy to accomodate FREE of charge. Please let us know as soon as your order is placed to avoid confusion. Please note that larger items, ie. strollers, high chairs, art, etc. cannot be gift wrapped. Thank you~

Do you offer shipping discounts? TOP

We do offer combined shipping discounts. Your order is calculated with the higher shipping price first and then a small amount for each additional item.  We also offer shipping promotions on certain items periodically.

Can I have my item shipped to another address for gift giving? TOP
Yes, we will ship your item to another shipping address apart from your billing address. Please notify on your shipping information, which address to ship to.

Do you accept returns? TOP
We do accept returns, however shipping is not refunded and it is the customers responsibility to ship the item back. The item must be in the same condition as it was shipped in, ie. new with tags and unused. It must be returned within 14 business days and your refund will be given once your item has arrived. Please note: You must send an email prior to shipping back your return with item information, name, address, reason for return to Renee@kaleidesprout.com Also, note that many items come from different warehouse locations and some items may be required to ship back to the warehouse location, so please email us to determine where your item will be returned to in the case that you have an issue. Do you sell Gift Certificates? TOP
We currently do not offer gift certificates, however please stay tuned for them in the near future.

We currently ship worldwide. Please note the drop down box when placing your order with the correct option. ie. US, Canada, International. We offer shipping worldwide, however shipping charges vary and methods vary as well. Please let us know if you need your package delivered in a specific manner, and we will try to accomodate. When can I expect my item(s)? TOP

Your item(s) will generally take up to 3 days processing time and 2-3 days for shipping. Please note most items are shipped out via USPS, Priority Mail with delivery confirmation. In most cases your item(s) will arrive in 2-3 days after the 3 day processing time.
 
Please note that in some cases your items will arrive in separate packages from different warehouse locations. Some packages may arrive more quickly than others and using different carriers. You will receive notification if your items will be arriving separately.
 
Also, please note that during holidays shipping can take longer, and unfortunately we cannot control the shipping time once it has left our location.

How are your items shipped? TOP
Most items are shipped via USPS Priority Mail, with delivery confirmation, unless otherwise noted. International shipping does not include delivery confirmation, however on occasion UPS will be used for some orders. We always ship with a carrier that is appropriate to shipping destination, weight etc. to be more cost effective for our customers. Most small items are shipped in beautiful cellophane bags and are gift ready.  You will receive a notice via email when your item has been shipped and the email will include your delivery confirmation number for tracking. You may track your item on www.usps.com  In most cases your order will be out within 3 days of receipt and generally will take 2-3 business days for delivery. Please note that during holidays and peak shipping times, the time can vary. How soon will I receive my shoes?

Shoes will be mailed within 24 hours of purchase. Packages will be sent out expedited service which can take up to 7 days.

What are the Exchange and Return Policy?

Shoes must be in their original box. If you are not satisfied with your purchase please return the unworn shoes in the Original Packaging to: Squeaky Feet 11 Colleyville Street, Brampton, Ontario L7A 1H3. Postage expenses to return an item and re-ship a new item will be the buyers responsibility. Refunds or exchanges will not be issued on worn shoes.

Is it possible to disable the squeaker?

Yes, all you need to do is use a a small pointy instrument such as a fork to pull out the squeaker located in the heal of the sole. If you are bothered by the squeaking noise try disabling one of the squeakers. Please note that for your convenience the squeakers that are removable are small, so never leave children unattended while they are wearing their squeaky feet shoes. Shoes with squeaker removed can not be refunded or exchanged.

Cleaning And Care

All Pedoodles shoes are constructed of premium top-grade leather.  As such, they require very little care and cleaning to maintain their great looks.  Should they become dirty or soiled, simply wipe them clean off with a warm wet cloth and some mild soap.  (Hand soap or dish soap works great)  Leather dressings and polishes are safe to use, but are not required in any way.

 

Initial Foot Development


New parents are often very concerned about the health of their children early in life.  Attention is usually focused on their inquisitive eyes, grasping hands, and developing teeth.  But what attention is paid to their still-developing feet?  Often far too little, especially considering these are the appendages that will carry the weight of their body through a lifetime.

Only a small percentage of the world's population is actually born with foot problems.  Rather, foot problems often arise later in life do to neglect and a lack of proper care and development earlier in life.  During your child's first year, their feet will be incredibly soft and pliable.  As such, any abnormal, repetitive pressures can easily cause the foot to deform.  This is why foot specialists consider the first year to be the most important in the development of the feet.


The Ideal Conditions

Going barefoot is not only enjoyable, it's actually very healthy for the initial development of young feet.  Studies show that walking barefoot early in life actually helps feet form properly and aids in musculature growth.  By allowing the toes freedom to perform their natural "grasping" actions, the feet naturally develop strength and coordination.

Of course, going barefoot is isn't always practical.  When walking outside or on rough surfaces, babies' feet need to be covered.  Their soft, tender skin needs protection from the dangers of infection through accidental cuts and abrasion.  This is when proper footwear becomes very important.


Proper Footwear

When choosing footwear to protect young developing feet, experts agree you should look for the following qualities:

Lightweight The shoes should not be heavy or impede the child's movement in any way.
Flexible/Soft The shoes should not restrict important toe and foot mobility, nor should they bind the growing feet in any way.
Breathable Constructed of breathable natural materials, such as leather, to promote healthy conditions around the feet.
Flat The shoes should not have any arch support. They should simulate barefoot conditions.


By following these simple guidelines, and measuring for a proper fit, your child's feet will be off to a healthy start.  Of course it's no surprise that Pedoodles were designed to meet all these criteria.  What is surprising is how great they look at the same time.

The foot is a complex and amazing part of the human body.  With 26 bones in each foot, your feet account for over 1/4 of the bones in your body.   No less then 19 muscles and 107 ligaments are used to control the movement of each foot -- and quite a job they have.  The average person takes 8,000-10,000 steps a day with their feet, which adds up to roughly 115,000 miles over a lifetime. That's enough walking to circle the earth four times!

To cope with all this activity there are over 250,000 sweat glands in your feet and these glands can excrete as much as a half-pint of moisture a day.  Your feet are also able to handle tremendous pressures.  When walking, you place about 2-3 times your body weight in pressure on your feet.  When running, this pressure can increase to nearly 7 times your body weight.
